Player vs. Player Combat
To begin attacking another player, hold the Ctrl key and attack or use a skill. Some areas, such as villages, are "safe zones" where PvP combat is restricted. PvP gameplay is based on a color-coded system. The name of any character who attacks another player turns purple (aggressive), and this also applies to anyone who attacks an aggressive player. Players do not receive penalties for attacking and defeating aggressive characters. However, when attacking and killing characters that are neutral (white colored names), the player's Karma points increase and the player becomes a chaotic character.
Chaotic character names turn red, and the guards of any village will attack a chaotic character whenever they come in contact with one. Chaotic characters cannot use shop services, and have a high chance of dropping items upon death. However, a chaotic character with a PK count of five or less will not drop items upon death. The table below shows the color-coded system in action.

To reduce Karma back to 0, the player must hunt monsters. There is also a quest available that can reduce the number of Player Kills a player has earned. Speak to the Black Judges to begin the Repent Your Sins quest.
Combats Points and PvP
Combat
Points (CP) offer a new dynamic to PvP situations
by adding an extra layer of protection when attacked
by another player. CP acts as a buffer that must be
depleted before damage will affect the player's hit
points.
If a player is damaged by another player (including
servitors and pets of a player), CP is consumed first
with no effect on Hit Points (HP). If the CP is not
enough to consume all the damage, HP begins to be
consumed.
Like HP, CP is also gradually recovered as time
passes. The CP total varies by class and level, recovers
over time, and acts as a buffer that must be depleted
before damage will affect the player's hit points.
Demonic Sword Zariche
The weapon of slaughter, the Demonic Sword Zariche, was once used by the Demon Bremmnon, one of the four demon kings.
All monsters in the world have the potential to drop it. However, only one of these exists in the whole world. When Zariche is dropped in the world, the entire world becomes dark for a short period of time, the ground shakes, and a system message notifies all players that the demonic sword has been found.

The character that acquires Zariche goes into a chaotic state (red) instantly, and his/her HP, CP, and MP are fully recovered (100%).
When a character acquires Zariche, it is equipped automatically and is impossible to un-equip. It is impossible to drop, exchange, or destroy this item from your inventory.
Zariche automatically disappears after a certain period of time (once acquired), regardless if the character is logged in or not. When the player wielding Zariche kills another player, Zariche’s lifespan shortens but the sword's abilities increase. The character who possesses Zariche will be notified by a system message with how much time is remaining.
When a character who possesses Zariche dies, it disappears or is dropped immediately.
Abilities and Limitations
PK penalties such as experience point loss, item drops, karma increases, etc. will not be applicable to either side in PvP when a player wielding Zariche is involved.
A player carrying Zariche cannot attack players that are level 20 or lower. In the same respect, players must be level 21 or higher to attack the character wielding Zariche.
Zariche causes its wielder to recognize everyone involved in a siege war as enemies.
When striking (excluding magic and physical skills) players, including Heroes, their CP is instantly reduced to 0. When a Hero strikes (excluding magic and physical skills) a character wielding Zariche, the CP of that character is instantly reduced to 0.
A player wielding Zariche cannot join a party with other players.
If a player acquires Zariche while in a party, that character is automatically withdrawn from that party.
The player wielding Zariche also cannot use the party matching system or command channel.
The player wielding Zariche cannot give or accept buffs and may not be healed or heal other players. However, he or she may use buffs and heal themselves.
The player wielding Zariche may summon a pet/servitor, but may not ride a pet.
Olympiad and Heroes
The player wielding Zariche cannot participate in the Olympiad.
When a Hero acquires Zariche, skills designed for Heroes may still be used. The player can use these skills again when Zariche disappears.
