What is the Summon System?
Some classes in Lineage II have the ability to
summon a servitor. In order to summon a servitor,
certain items of pre-determined quantity are required.
Servitors exhibit excellent abilities both as
a player's partner during combat and also as a
highly skilled expert hunter.
Types of Servitor
Servitors come in two types — the controlled
servitor type and the uncontrolled servitor
type.
The controlled servitor type is useful in the
sense that a summoner can directly control its
actions for strategic purposes during combat.
However, the disadvantage of this type is the
fact that the controlled type servitor can only
be summoned one at a time.
The uncontrolled servitor type is not controlled
directly by the summoner. However, the advantage
this type of servitor gives to a gamer is that
two or more uncontrolled servitors can be summoned
at the same time.
Among the currently existing servitors, the
uncontrolled servitors that cannot be directly
controlled are the cubic type servitors. And,
controlled type servitors are attack wizards (first
class transfer) and summon wizards (second class
transfer) of the servitor class.
Items Needed for Summoning
All servitors that appear in Lineage II consume
crystals. Each time one level of an applicable
summon skill is mastered, the number of crystals
required to summon a servitor will increase.
The total amount of crystals required for summoning
will not be used upfront. Only some portion is
consumed at this time; as time passes, more of
the crystals will be used, so that the total number
of crystals will be used by the end of a complete
summoning.
