First Steps

You will start in the temple of Rookgaard, the first thing you will properly notice is that you can change your outfit. Change it to the colours you like and click on OK.

Now you can set your first steps into the world of Tibia. In the temple you will see an NPC called Cipfried, he heals you when your health is below a certain level. Ok, now lets start hunting! The first creature you will slaughter is a rat. You will find them in the sewers of Rookgaard. You can enter the sewers by right-clicking on a "sewer grate" and select "use".

Now move your character to the town centre and locate the sewer grate. When you have found it, enter the sewer below it. Now search for some rats in the sewer. But watch out, multiple rats can block you and you will most likely die. When your health is low, go to Cipfried and ask him if he can heal you. When you slay a rat, you will receive experience points which are needed to level up. Also, when you kill a rat, you can loot them by right-clicking on them and selecting "open". You can sell fresh rat corpses to a NPC called Tom, he will give you couple of gold pieces if you give him corpses of certain animals. Hunt these rats till your level 2. If possible, buy some equipment with the cash you collected.

Hunting

So, you reached level 2? Move up to the north of the town, there is a bridge that you only can cross if your level 2 or higher. Cross the bridge and move to the north-west, you will see another bridge, cross that one to. Now move south to the swamp, you will find snakes there. Snakes give quite good experience but they can poison you and drop no loot. You can hunt snakes till level 8 if you want, the spawns are pretty large and not often crowded, though you wont loot cash. So you can also switch to spiders and trolls at level 4.

When your level 4 and decide to hunt trolls and/or spiders you should enter the spider caves, or troll towers. Trolls and Spiders are not hard at all, they drop some gold and give a reasonable amount of experience. You can also gather a group of players and do some quests. If you reach level 5 you should upgrade your equipment, after that you can continue hunting snakes, trolls, spiders and possibly poison spiders, which can be quite hard because they can also poison you. If your strong enough you can hunt orcs, and maybe some orc spearman's, but watch out, orc spearman's are dangerous. Don't hunt these on lower levels, you will die.

At level 8 you can go to the mainland. Go to the Oracle, which can be found above the library. Speak to the Oracle and choose your vocation and home city. Now your ready to leave Rookgaard forever, remember there is no way back!


Not old enough..

Tips

- Don't train on Rookgaard, you will advance much faster on mainland.
- Don't use spears on Rookgaard, you don't need them on Rookgaard.
- Watch out for slime potions, if you drink it you will get poisoned and most likely die.
- Watch out for fire, it does a total damage of 120hp.
- Remember to read every "Tips" button that appears in the upper-right corner of your screen!
